Tajikistan and Iran Discuss Strengthening Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, 19.05.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On May 16, Speaker of the Assembly of Representatives of the Supreme Assembly of Tajikistan, Faizali Idizoda, met with the Ambassador of Iran to Tajikistan, Alireza Haqiqian.
The sides discussed prospects for enhancing inter-parliamentary cooperation, including the exchange of legislative experience between the deputies of both countries.
The role of parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening bilateral relations was highlighted.
The parties also reviewed the activities of the existing Friendship and Cooperation Groups between the Assembly of Representatives of Tajikistan and the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Majlis) of Iran.
Both sides emphasized that deeper parliamentary collaboration and sharing of best practices can positively contribute to the development of legislative processes.
