Tajikistan, Pakistan discuss acceleration of implementation of existing signed agreements in transport

DUSHANBE, 02.05.2025 /NIAT Khovar/. Minister of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan Azim Ibrohim and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Republic of Tajikistan Muhammad Saeed Sarwar on April 29 discussed the implementation of agreements reached durign the official visits of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Honorable Emomali Rahmon to Pakistan, reports press center of the Ministry of transport.
On April 1, 2024, a ceremony was held in Dushanbe to receive the first direct shipment of bilateral cargo under the Transit Trade Agreement between Tajikistan and Pakistan.
The importance of Tajikistan’s access to international transport corridors through Pakistani seaports, implementation of transport projects connecting Tajikistan and Pakistan, as well as construction of new regional corridors for access to seaports was discussed.
