China’s Share in Tajikistan’s Foreign Trade Exceeds 20%

DUSHANBE, 18.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – China accounts for more than 20% of Tajikistan’s foreign trade turnover. This was highlighted during the meeting between the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, H.E. Emomali Rahmon, and the President of the People’s Republic of China, H.E. Xi Jinping, held on 17 June in Astana, Kazakhstan.
The discussions covered the development of cooperation in education, healthcare, and cultural-humanitarian relations.
Both sides noted the importance of launching direct passenger air service between Dushanbe and Beijing.
