Thirty Four New Enterprises Created in Khujand This Year

DUSHANBE, 13.07.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – During the first half of this year, 34 new small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises were created in Khujand and over 208 people received permanent jobs.
The total number of industrial enterprises in the city reached 241 units.
Along with this, 108 small and large enterprises produced import-substituting products worth 369.8 million somoni, which is more by 47.4 million somoni, or 14.7 percent compared to the same period last year.
During the reporting period, the volume of industrial production, taking into account the production and sale of electricity, amounted to 738.9 million somoni and compared to the same period last year amounted to 115.4%. Of this amount, products worth 213.6 million somoni were exported, which is 26.3 million more than in the same period last year.
Additionally, the list of types of industrial products has increased in Khujand, which is mainly produced from environmentally friendly local raw materials and exported to 17 foreign countries.
The industrial enterprises of the city produce more souvenirs, jewelry, laundry soap and children’s shoes, and are also exported abroad.
