DUSHANBE, 09.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On June 9, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, met with the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Honorable Hun Manet, in the French city of Nice on the sidelines of the third United Nations Ocean Conference.
The meeting discussed issues of expanding relations between Tajikistan and Cambodia.
Recalling the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, the President of our country, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, stated that we are in favor of strengthening them.
The parties paid great attention to the issue of developing cooperation in promising areas of trade and economy, industry, and culture.
The establishment and development of interparliamentary cooperation was considered expedient.
Within the framework of relations in international organizations, satisfaction was expressed with the support of each other’s initiatives.
Enhancing cooperation in the areas of mitigation the effects of climate change and ensuring environmental sustainability was one of the important topics of the conversation.
At the end of the conversation, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia was invited to pay an official visit to Tajikistan.
