Foreign Ministers of Tajikistan and China Hold Bilateral Meeting in Tianjin

DUSHANBE, 16.07.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On July 16, a bilateral meeting took place in Tianjin between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, and Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, Wang Yi.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, the ministers reviewed the progress of implementing agreements reached during the state visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Tajikistan in 2024, as well as outcomes of the meeting between the leaders of the two countries in Astana in June 2025, which opened new avenues for enhancing the strategic partnership between Tajikistan and China.
Sirojiddin Muhriddin and Wang Yi also discussed the current status and prospects for bilateral cooperation across a wide range of areas.
The two foreign ministers exchanged views on collaboration within regional and international organizations, particularly within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), including preparations for the upcoming SCO Summit to be held in Tianjin in September 2025.
