DUSHANBE, 26.08.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On August 26, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, commissioned a drinking water pipeline in Rogun city.
This project is a continuation of the initiatives of the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, regarding access to clean drinking water for residents.
The drinking water pipeline is brought from the village of Faqirobod, Fayzobod district, through pipes of various sizes, allowing 38 thousand residents of the city and 17 thousand employees of the Rogun HPP to have uninterrupted access to clean water.
It is worth noting that prolonged use and lack of maintenance in recent years have damaged the condition of water pipes in Rogun city, and residents have suffered from a lack of this main source of life.
In this regard, based on the instructions of the Government of the country, a project to restore and increase the capacity of the city’s water supply network was implemented to provide residents with clean water.
Construction work was carried out with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan by OJSC «TGEM».
The length of the water pipelines is 19,925 meters, through which spring water is delivered to the Rogun city water supply network.
