High-Level Tajik–Uzbek Talks Open with Leaders’ Bilateral Meeting

DUSHANBE, 26.03.2026 (NIAT Khovar) – High-level talks during the state visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, to the Republic of Uzbekistan commenced with a one-on-one meeting between the two Heads of State, Emomali Rahmon and Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Welcoming the distinguished guest in Tashkent, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan expressed confidence that the current visit of President Emomali Rahmon would provide new momentum to the further strengthening and expansion of the strategic partnership and allied relations between the two neighboring countries.
The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, expressed his gratitude to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for the invitation to Tashkent and the warm and cordial reception. He also highly commended the steady development and expansion of friendly relations and multifaceted cooperation between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, grounded in the principles of strategic partnership and alliance.
