President Emomali Rahmon inaugurated newly renovated Baljuvon Historical and Cultural Center

DUSHANBE, 11.09.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On September 11, in Baljuvon district, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, put into operation the State Institution «Baljuvon Historical and Cultural Center» after renovation and modernization.
At the entrance to the «Baljuvon Historical and Cultural Center», the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, was warmly welcomed by residents of various professions and crafts of the district and people of science and culture of Khatlon Province with immense sincerity and respect.
The restoration work of the Baljuvon Fortress began in 2019, based on the instructions of the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, and was completed with high quality.
This historical site is included in the list of local budget facilities of Khatlon Province, and in addition to financing the regional budget, local entrepreneurs also contributed to its renovation and modernization. The budget has allocated 6 million 322 thousand somoni for the renovation of the Baljuvon Fortress, and 17 million 624 thousand somoni from entrepreneurs. The total cost of the renovation of the facility is 23 million 946 thousand somoni.
This facility is considered one of the historical monuments of the district, and a large number of domestic and foreign tourists visit it every year.
The Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, while familiarizing himself with the capabilities of the center, emphasized that such institutions are a school of national self-knowledge and self-awareness, guiding the younger generation to study history and pay tribute to the culture of their ancestors.
The «Baljuvon Historical and Cultural Center» has been renovated with a modern design and in accordance with the requirements of architectural standards, providing an opportunity to adequately present the rich history and culture of the Tajik nation.
The center has a large exhibition hall, a historical museum, a library, and special corners of national culture. Every corner is decorated with high architectural craftsmanship and modern design, reflecting the ancient history and rich culture of the Tajik people. The museum of this place houses rare examples of handicrafts, ancient paintings, household items of ancestors, and works of researchers and writers.
After getting acquainted with the conditions of the center, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, participated in a literary and cultural program featuring people of literature and art.
Residents considered the opening of the «Baljuvon Historical and Cultural Center» a worthy gift from the Leader of the Nation and the Government of the country on the days of celebrating the 34th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, and stated that, using these opportunities, they will contribute to the preservation and development of national culture and the education of youth in the spirit of patriotism.
The opening of this cultural institution in the Baljuvon district is a clear testimony to the constructive and culture-loving policy of the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon.
