President of Tajikistan calls for strengthening economic and investment cooperation with Saudi Arabia

On October 14, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, received the Minister of Investment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mr. Khalid Al-Falih on the sidelines of the “Dushanbe Invest — 2025” Forum.
The meeting discussed the development of cooperation between the two countries.
Satisfaction was expressed with the activities of the Saudi Fund for Development in Tajikistan.
The parties expressed their interest in developing economic, trade and investment cooperation and implementing projects in the energy and agricultural sectors.
Great attention was paid to revitalizing the activities of bilateral instruments for expanding cooperation.
It was considered necessary to attract Saudi investment for the implementation of projects in the light industry, textile, pharmaceuticals, production of construction materials, mineral processing, and energy.
The launch of the Dushanbe-Jeddah-Dushanbe air flight was called a good example of cooperation between the countries.
An exchange of views also took place on other issues of mutual interest.
