On November 19, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, commissioned the Asri Obod Limited Liability Company Furniture Factory with 8 production workshops in the industrial zone No. 1 of Istaravshan.

The facility was built by entrepreneur Qodir Yusufzoda in honor of the great national holiday of the 35th anniversary of state independence on a total area of 0.34 hectares of land.

Currently, the factory employs more than 50 local specialists, 60 percent of whom are women.

The Asri Obod factory produces more than 30 import-substituting products, including tables and chairs for organizations and institutions, restaurants, educational institutions, culture and healthcare, household items, etc.

According to the forecast, by 2027 the range of products will reach 40 and the number of employees will reach 70.

The use of 70 percent of domestic raw materials allows customers to meet the needs of high-quality products of the enterprise under the Elegant brand and to establish its export in the future. A large part of the assembly products is manufactured here by specialists in separate workshops using various technologies, which is the first time such an experience has been implemented at this enterprise.

After getting acquainted with this facility, the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, assessed the initiative of the local entrepreneur as an outstanding example of patriotism and contribution to sustainable economic development. Specific instructions and recommendations were given to the responsible persons to increase the production and export capacity of the enterprise.
