As part of the visit, on November 6, a Tajikistan-U.S. High-Level Roundtable on Entrepreneurship was convened in Washington. During the roundtable, the Agency of Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and Nasdaq, Inc. signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at facilitating the development of Tajikistan’s financial and regulatory technology infrastructure. The agreement envisions modernizing reporting systems, enhancing market transparency, and fostering Tajikistan’s integration into the global financial community.
This milestone marks a significant step toward strengthening economic ties between the two nations, opening new avenues for investment, trade expansion, and the exchange of innovative technologies.
Additionally, on the same day, during the C5+1 Tenth Anniversary Business Conference, Tajikistan co-hosted and co-moderated a Breakout Session titled “Harnessing the Power of AI.” The session was co-led by Mr. Khurshed Mirzo, Director of the Agency of Innovation and Digital Technologies of Tajikistan, and Mrs. Anny Vu, Senior Bureau Official for Emerging Threats at the U.S. Department of State. The discussion emphasized the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in driving sustainable economic development and enhancing cooperation between the U.S. and Central Asia in the digital sphere.
The participation of the Agency of Innovation and Digital Technologies in these high-level dialogues underscores Tajikistan’s commitment to advancing digital transformation, promoting innovation-driven growth, and expanding international partnerships in emerging technologies.
