Tremors were recorded on January 9 at 02:14 in the Republic of Tajikistan reports Khovar citing the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan.
According to the source, the epicentre of the earthquake was recorded 61 kilometres from the Murghab district, in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region. The underground tremors measured 5.3 on the Richter scale.
