Political Consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Tajikistan and Egypt Held in Cairo

On January 27, 2026, the third round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Arab Republic of Egypt was held. The delegations were led by Farukh Sharifzoda, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, and Amr Hamza, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt.
According to the Tajik MFA Information Department, during the consultations, issues related to the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation in political, economic, trade, investment, energy, tourism, humanitarian, science and education, culture, industry, air communication, as well as strengthening the legal and contractual framework, and cooperation within international and regional organizations were discussed.
Both sides expressed their readiness and interest in further strengthening friendly relations and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and Egypt in all fields.
At the end of the consultations, a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and the Diplomatic Studies Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptians Abroad of the Arab Republic of Egypt was signed.
