Tajik and Iranian Businessmen to Meet in Mashhad

DUSHANBE, 08.12.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – On December 21, Mashhad will host a conference dedicated to the possibilities of Tajik-Iranian trade relations and investment in business, reports the First Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan Haidar Rajabov.
According to him, the Tajik side has already created a group headed by the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Sughd region Muhamadjon Muhamadjonov.
The trip of the Tajik group will last from December 17 through December 21.
On December 17, a business-to-business meeting will be held between the two parties on investment and trade opportunities in Tajikistan and Iran, organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Tajikistan and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mining and Agriculture of Iran. The meeting will be attended by businessmen and traders of the two parties in the food industry, building materials and engineering services.
As part of this trip, Tajik entrepreneurs will also visit a number of specialized enterprises in the provinces of Khorasan-Razavi and Isfahan to exchange experience.
On December 21, an exhibition of goods and products of the two countries will be held on the sidelines of the conference, in which Tajik companies will take part in various areas, in particular, in the food sector, the production of building materials, agricultural and fuel products.
From December 5 through December 6, Tajikistan and Iran held a meeting of the Joint Economic Commission in Tehran. According to Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Mehdi Safari, the topics of discussion were such sectors as trade, finance, energy, transport, industry, engineering services, healthcare and tourism.
