Tajik ambassador, US senator discuss bilateral ties

On January 8, 2026 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the United States of America Zavqizoda Zavqi held a meeting with the American senator, member of the U.S. Senate committees on foreign relations, on energy and natural resources and co-chair of the Senate Central Asia Caucus Steve Daines, reports Khovar citing foreign ministry of the country.
At the meeting, the issues of expanding bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the United States, in particular strengthening interparliamentary relations between Majlisi Milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan and the United States Senate were discussed.
