Tajikistan and the European Union Strengthen Cooperation in the Fight Against Terrorism and Extremism

On 22 January, Ramazon Rakhimzoda, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, and Radoslav Darski, Head of the European Union Delegation to the Republic of Tajikistan, held a meeting to discuss issues related to strengthening cooperation in the fight against terrorism and extremism. This was reported to NIAT “Khovar” by the press centre of the ministry.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed strengthening cooperation in combating cybercrime, illicit drug trafficking, the search for wanted persons, information exchange, and other forms of transnational organised crime.
In addition, the parties expressed their readiness to further develop and expand cooperation.
It was noted that joint efforts will be crucial for effectively countering terrorism, extremism, radicalism, and transnational organised crime, including cybercrime and drug trafficking.
