The Issue of Attracting Indonesian Investment to Tajikistan’s Economy Discussed

Tajikistan is taking steps to attract Indonesian investors to priority sectors of the national economy, reports NIAT “Khovar” citing the State Committee for Investments and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The issue was discussed during a meeting in Dushanbe between Chairman of the State Committee for Investments and State Property Management Sulton Rahimzoda and Nalin Rathod, Director of the Board of Directors of the Indonesian company Bakrie Group.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the prospects for developing investment cooperation and discussed opportunities for attracting Indonesian investment to mining, metallurgy, energy and construction sectors in Tajikistan.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Indonesian side expressed interest in studying Tajikistan’s investment potential, implementing joint projects, and further expanding bilateral cooperation.
