Comrade generals, officers, sergeants, and brave soldiers of the Motherland!
Dear veterans of the Armed Forces!
I sincerely congratulate you on the 33rd anniversary of the founding of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan, one of the principal pillars of our modern statehood.
With pride and deep satisfaction, I note that the servicemen of the Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies serve as a reliable shield in safeguarding the country’s independence and freedom, protecting the borders of the Motherland, and ensuring stability, peace, and security for the state and society.
Defenders of the Motherland Day, celebrated annually with special solemnity in our independent country, reflects the high trust and profound respect of the people of Tajikistan for those who regard military service as a sacred mission and an honorable duty.
During the tragic days of the imposed civil war in the early 1990s, the country’s leadership clearly understood that ensuring national security and social stability was impossible without well-equipped armed forces and courageous, devoted servicemen.
Therefore, despite severe economic and financial hardships, we established the National Army, and on February 23, 1993, the first military parade of the Armed Forces of Tajikistan was held.
Our Armed Forces were thus formed and strengthened under extremely difficult conditions, gaining invaluable experience and combat capability.
In the years that followed, together with other military structures and law enforcement agencies, our Armed Forces have repeatedly demonstrated loyalty, bravery, and valor, honorably fulfilling their duty to protect the state and the people of Tajikistan.
In this regard, I express my sincere gratitude and appreciation to all servicemen of the Armed Forces, other security agencies, and law enforcement bodies for their faithful service to the state and the nation.
The state, the Government, and the proud people of Tajikistan will never forget the dedication and heroism of our valiant officers and soldiers. We will always honor the memory of those who gave their lives restoring constitutional order, defending the borders of the Motherland, strengthening peace and stability, and safeguarding the peaceful life of our citizens.
The complex and alarming situation in the region and the world — including geopolitical tensions, rapid militarization, the spread of terrorism and extremism, cybercrime, and other forms of transnational organized crime — requires us to take additional measures to further strengthen our national defense and security.
In an era of unprecedented scientific and technological advancement, only personnel equipped with modern military knowledge, high professionalism, and mastery of advanced technologies can effectively ensure national security and social stability.
In this context, continuous improvement of professional skills, strengthening national identity, loyalty to the military oath, and strict adherence to military regulations remain the daily responsibilities of all servicemen — from commanders to rank-and-file soldiers.
I am confident that the personnel of our Armed Forces will continue to honorably fulfill their sacred mission — to safeguard the security of the state and society, and to ensure the peaceful life and constructive work of the people of Tajikistan — demonstrating exemplary discipline, advanced knowledge and skills, a strong spirit of patriotism, unwavering willpower, and devotion to the Motherland.
Once again, I warmly congratulate all personnel and veterans of the National Army and other security forces on Armed Forces Day of our independent Tajikistan. I wish you good health, prosperity, steadfast spirit, and resolute strength in defending our beloved Motherland.
Happy holiday to you, valiant and courageous defenders of the Motherland!
