Tajikistan and Iran Discuss Prospects for Economic and Trade Cooperation
DUSHANBE, 19.02.2026 (NIAT Khovar) – The prospects for economic cooperation between Tajikistan and Iran were discussed during a meeting in Dushanbe between Daler Jum’a, Minister of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan and Chair of the Tajik side of the Tajik-Iran Joint Commission on Trade, Economic, Technical, Scientific, and Cultural Cooperation, and Seyed Mohammad Atabak, Minister of Industry, Mining, and Trade of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The parties reviewed bilateral cooperation and discussed the future economic ties between the two countries.
It was noted that the legal and economic framework between Tajikistan and Iran provides broad opportunities for collaboration in energy, industry, transport, agriculture, and trade.
Daler Jum’a expressed satisfaction with the high level of current relations and affirmed Tajikistan’s readiness to further strengthen economic and trade cooperation and attract investment.
