DUSHANBE, 19.02.2026 (NIAT Khovar) – To mark the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan at a high level, a series of political, cultural, and sporting events are planned across the country.
According to the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Tajikistan, a ceremonial meeting will be held at the ministry.
In addition, a congratulatory address by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan will be delivered to attendees at the Sadriddin Ayni State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, followed by a festive concert.
On this occasion, wreath-laying ceremonies will take place at the Ismoil Somoni Monument in Dushanbe and at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the Qarotegin neighborhood of Shohmansur District.
In connection with these events, various programs are being organized with the participation of officers and soldiers of military structures in the cultural and recreational parks of Dushanbe — including Iram, Firdavsi, Kurushi Kabir, and Mironenko — as well as in the administrative centers of the regions.
To familiarize draft-age youth with the daily life and service of officers and soldiers, “Open Doors Day” events will be held at military units. At the same time, military-patriotic activities and sports competitions among servicemen of the Ministry of Defense, power structures, and law enforcement agencies are planned.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, the “Soldier’s Song” competition will be held with the participation of soldiers and officers from military units. The competition aims to boost patriotic spirit and pay tribute to military service.
It should be noted that these events play an important role in strengthening the readiness, awareness, and social cohesion of military personnel, as well as in promoting patriotic values and safeguarding the country’s borders and territorial integrity.
