Tajikistan, European Union Discuss Improving Mutual Legal Assistance

Habibullo Vohidzoda, Prosecutor general of Republic of Tajikistan, met with Radoslaw Darski, ambassador of the European Union to Tajikistan, to discuss strengthening cooperation, including improvements to mutual legal assistance mechanisms.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the sides addressed cooperation in security, counterterrorism and strengthening state borders.
Vohidzoda emphasized the importance of enhancing mutual legal assistance and increasing the effectiveness of cooperation between Tajikistan’s competent authorities and EU member states.
Darski outlined EU-funded projects in Tajikistan focused on combating terrorism, strengthening border security and countering transnational crime, as well as other areas of cooperation.
