Tajikistan to Host International Festival “Navruz – Cultural and World Heritage” in March

In the third decade of March, Tajikistan will host the International Festival “Navruz – Cultural and World Heritage” as part of nationwide Navruz celebrations, the Tourism Development Committee under the Government of Tajikistan told the National Information Agency of Tajikistan Khovar.
The festival will be held in accordance with the “Schedule of Holidays and Anniversaries, Festivals, Exhibitions, Cultural and Educational Events, and Folk Traditions in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2026,” approved by a Jan. 2, 2026 decree of President His Excellency Emomali Rahmon.
The program features exhibitions of folk crafts, presentations of Navruz rituals, national sports competitions, preparation of traditional Navruz dishes, displays of national costumes and tourism services.
Navruz, with its distinctive traditions, is regarded as one of the country’s key tourism events, aimed at drawing international attention to the rich historical and cultural heritage of the Tajik people.
The international festival “Navruz – Cultural and World Heritage” is being held for the eighth consecutive year with government support on the occasion of the International Day of Navruz.
The event seeks to promote Tajikistan’s tourism potential and showcase the national culture and traditions of the Tajik people to visitors from around the world.
