President Emomali Rahmon Inaugurates Reconstructed Pushkin Russian Drama Theater in Buston

On March 29, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, first opened the building of the State Russian Drama Theater named after Alexander Pushkin after a complete reconstruction with 300 seats by lifting the curtain on the symbolic plaque.
This theater is located on Bobojon Gafurov Street in the city of Buston with a total area of 1350 square meters.
During the tour, the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, was informed that the renovated facility consists of a large and spacious hall with 300 seats, a small rehearsal hall, 14 offices and auxiliary rooms.
The cultural facility has a main auditorium, stage, entrance hall, place for hanging clothes, room for craftsmen, finishing room, technical rooms for artists, and carpentry shop.
The Head of State was informed that after the renovation of the Alexander Pushkin State Russian Drama Theater and the creation of modern working conditions, the necessary conditions were created for the artists and cultural figures of the city of Buston, and 36 residents were provided with jobs and good salaries.
This facility needed repair and renovation after a long period of operation and was completely renovated within the framework of the implementation of the social and cultural policy of the Government of the country.
During the period of state independence, the theater has achieved a number of high creative successes.
Here, the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, held a sincere conversation with the artists and, by creating modern conditions for the development and growth of the industry, gave specific recommendations and instructions to those responsible for resolving personnel issues and attracting talented artists.
