Tajikistan Highlights Drug Fight, Strategy at UN Commission Session in Vienna

Tajik delegation led by Zafar Samad, director of the Drug Control Agency under the President of Tajikistan, attended the 69th session of the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs, which opened March 9 at the U.N. Office on Drugs and Crime headquarters.
At the session, Samad addressed the current state of the fight against illicit drug trafficking, the implementation of the country’s National Drug Control Strategy for 2021–2030, and the need to expand international cooperation in this area.
The commission session will continue through March 13, with side events and bilateral meetings scheduled on the sidelines.
