On April 10, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, received the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, Taalatbek Masadikov, who arrived in Dushanbe on a working visit.

At the beginning of the conversation, the Head of State congratulated Taalatbek Masadikov on taking up the post of Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

The parties discussed topical issues of cooperation within the framework of the CSTO. Views were exchanged on the situation in the Organization’s area of responsibility and its surroundings. Current regional and international issues were also reviewed.

Particular attention was paid to strengthening cooperation within the Organization to ensure a timely and effective response to security threats and dangers.

In this context, the Leader of the Nation emphasized the importance of comprehensive implementation of the decisions adopted in this direction by the CSTO Collective Security Council.
