President Emomali Rahmon Inaugurates Antimony Metallurgical Plant in Ayni District

On July 7, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, paid a working visit to the Sughd Province to familiarize himself with the living conditions of the people, the progress of development and construction works, inaugurate a number of facilities of various purposes, and hold meetings with residents.
The working visit of the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, began in Ayni district. First, the Antimony Metallurgical Plant under the Talco Gold Closed Joint-Stock Company was commissioned.
It was reported that the enterprise is equipped with modern production technologies, and its annual capacity is up to 5 thousand tons of processing and production of antimony metal.
The commissioning of this production facility is of great importance for the effective use of the country’s mineral resources, increasing the volume of industrial production, export potential, developing domestic manufacturing, and creating new jobs.
Closed Joint Stock Company «TALCO Gold» was established for the purpose of development and processing of the Kanchoch gold and antimony deposit, and operates using modern technologies and digital production management systems. The deposit’s reserves amount to more than 23 million tons of ore, about 50 tons of gold, and more than 265 thousand tons of antimony, and it is one of the largest deposits in the region.
As a result of the gradual increase in production capacities, the volume of production of the enterprise has been steadily increasing, and for 2026 it is planned to produce products worth 1 billion 539 million somoni.
During the acquaintance with the production capabilities of the enterprise, the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, was informed that advanced production technologies have been introduced within the framework of the project implementation, and special attention is paid to compliance with environmental requirements, efficient use of natural resources, and ensuring production safety in the enterprise’s activities.
The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, highly appreciated the quality of the work done and emphasized that the rapid industrialization of the country, as the fourth strategic goal of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, will be implemented through the construction of such production enterprises, the full processing of domestic raw materials, the production of competitive products, the growth of export potential, and the creation of new jobs.
The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, was also informed that 200 local residents will be provided with permanent jobs once the enterprise is put into operation.
During a conversation with the management and employees of the enterprise, the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, specifically drew their attention to environmental issues, emphasizing that they should have a careful attitude to the beautiful nature of the environment.
Here, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, laid the foundation stone for the construction of another metallurgical enterprise with an annual production capacity of 2 tons of gold. It was reported that this enterprise will be put into operation by August 2027.
The Head of State also instructed that the 32 km stretch of the highway to the Talco Gold antimony plant and the Iskandarkul tourist area be fully paved by September 2027.
