DUSHANBE, July 29, 2026 (NIAT Khovar) — On July 29, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, met with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Honorable Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, within the framework of the opening ceremony of the international competition «Future Games» in Astana.

During the conversation, the heads of the two states discussed the current state and prospects of friendly relations, strategic partnership and alliance between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the positive dynamics of cooperation in almost all areas. The importance of continuing regular interstate political dialogue and expanding trade, economic and investment ties in areas of mutual interest was emphasized.

Particular attention was paid to the growth of bilateral trade and the development of cooperation in the field of transport and logistics, digital technologies and artificial intelligence.

The high rate of growth of bilateral trade turnover in the first half of this year was noted.

Given the current situation on global and regional energy markets, the parties discussed the further increase in exports of Kazakh oil products to the Tajik market.

Regarding the cultural and humanitarian sectors, the parties expressed their interest in strengthening the process of creative, educational and academic exchange, as well as expanding cooperation in the fields of tourism, sports, and other areas of mutual interest.

Multilateral cooperation within international and regional structures was also reviewed.
