President Emomali Rahmon Opens New School for 2,400 Students in Faizobod

On August 21, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, opened the new building of Secondary General Education Institution No. 11 in the village of Elok, Kalai-Dasht rural jamoat, Faizabad district.

Secondary General Education Institution No. 11, built with a beautiful and modern design in accordance with international standards in honor of the great national holiday – the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan’s independence – became a valuable gift for the institution’s teachers and students on the eve of the new school year.

The facility was built with the support of the Faizabad district Executive Authority in collaboration with development partners, and is designed to accommodate 2,400 students in two shifts.

Construction work on the facility was carried out to a high standard over a period of over a year by Shaffof LLC, with the participation of more than 180 local residents.

The educational institution consists of three two- and three-story buildings and has 57 modern classrooms and science laboratories. All classrooms, including those for chemistry, biology, physics, geography, mathematics, computer science, foreign languages, and vocational training, are equipped with modern equipment and technology.

In this temple of science and education, 44 teachers teach and educate students, and the educational process is monitored by CCTV cameras.

The institution also features workspaces for teachers, a traditional and online library, a medical center, a cafeteria, a 430-seat assembly hall, and a sports hall for football, volleyball, and basketball.

A 650-square-meter sports field has also been built on the premises.

At the meeting, the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, praised the quality of the work done and encouraged teachers to further improve the knowledge and education of students.

It was emphasized that the opening of such an educational institution will undoubtedly contribute to raising the level of education and broadening students’ worldviews, as well as laying a real foundation for developing the intellectual and creative abilities of the younger generation.

The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, was informed that, as part of the plan of events dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the state independence, construction is underway in the Faizabad district, and new schools and additional buildings will be commissioned.
