On August 21, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, visited an exhibition of agricultural products, folk crafts, and national dishes during a working visit to Faizabad district.
The exhibition, designed in an attractive and engaging style, vividly showcased the abundance of agricultural produce, the results of the continuous labor of farmers, and the high skill of the district’s women and artisans.
The exhibition showcased the products of the district’s workers, including vegetables and various types of fresh and dried fruits, canned goods, legumes, grains, and other agricultural products.
These benefits are the result of the efficient use of natural resources, favorable weather conditions, fertile land, and high-quality seeds, demonstrating the extensive experience of the district’s farmers.
The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, was informed that this year, the district’s farmers, using available natural resources, increased the area under agricultural crops to 11,370 hectares. Much attention was paid to increasing the area under grains, legumes, industrial crops, potatoes, vegetables, and melons, for which the district’s climate is favorable.
At the same time, the Head of State was informed that the district continues to harvest tomatoes, including the famous pink variety, grain corn, bell peppers, and legumes obtained by replanting, on an area of 240 hectares.
The agricultural produce exhibition reflects the true industriousness of the rural population, the abundance on residents’ tables, and the vast potential of the Faizabad district for agricultural development.
Along with agricultural produce, products made by women and housewives of the district were also widely represented. Various types of bread, fatir, flatbreads, and traditional dishes, prepared and presented with a distinctive flavor, demonstrate the high skill of local residents, the good taste of women and mothers, and their painstaking work.
President Emomali Rahmon, after reviewing the activities of industry representatives and farmers in the district, gave instructions and recommendations for further increasing production volumes, harvesting crops without losses, and creating sufficient agricultural reserves for the autumn and winter. Instructions were also given to expand vegetable and vineyard areas, ensure timely autumn sowing, and utilize high-yielding locally produced seeds.
