On September 1, in Bishkek, on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Council of Heads of State meeting, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, met with the President of the Russian Federation, Honorable Vladimir Putin.
At the meeting, the current state and prospects of multifaceted cooperation between Tajikistan and Russia were discussed.
Considerable attention was paid to security and stability, commercial, economic, cultural, and humanitarian aspects.
Satisfaction was expressed primarily with the progress of construction of the Center for the Development of Gifted Children and the new building of the Mayakovsky Theater in Dushanbe.
The discussion also focused on issues related to the development of trade, entrepreneurship, investment, and energy cooperation.
Strengthening cooperation to ensure regional security and stability, including in addressing the challenges and threats of the modern world, was a key topic of discussion.
An exchange of views also took place on specific issues related to the regional and global situation.
