On September 28, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, returned to Dushanbe after completing his working visit to the city of Khorugh.

The farewell ceremony for the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, at Khorugh Airport, like the ceremony welcoming him, was held with great solemnity and with a strong sense of gratitude among the people of Badakhshan. The residents of the Province bid farewell to the Head of State with loyalty and sincere affection, in an atmosphere filled with respect, joy, and celebration.

Cultural figures from the Province, with the participation of more than 1,500 artists and residents, presented an engaging cultural program, performing songs celebrating the homeland, the Leader of the Nation, and the people’s love with great enthusiasm. The farewell ceremony truly became a scene of national sentiment and appreciation for the wise and humane policies of the Leader of the Nation.

The working visit of the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, which took place over two days in the city of Khorugh, was held on the occasion of the grand historical celebration of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.

During this fruitful visit, the Leader of the Nation commissioned a number of facilities of various purposes, laid foundation stones for the construction of several new facilities, and remotely commissioned 87 facilities. Another 185 facilities were commissioned on the eve of the visit. All of these achievements are the result of the constructive policy and direct attention of the Head of State toward the proud people of Badakhshan.

One of the important objectives of the Leader of the Nation’s visit was to hold face-to-face meetings with the proud people of the Province, hear their proposals, and develop plans for the further social and economic development of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Province. During these meetings, the Head of State congratulated the residents of the Province on the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan and guided them toward expanding development and construction efforts.

The farewell ceremony for the Leader of the Nation in the city of Khorugh was a manifestation of respect, appreciation, and the unbreakable bond between the people and the Head of State.
