On September 30, a meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan was held under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Head of the Government, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon.

At the outset of the meeting, the draft State Programme for the Development of Environmental Awareness and Culture among the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2026–2030 was considered, and a report by the Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection, Bahodur Sheralizoda, was heard.

It was emphasized that the purpose of developing and adopting this Programme is to increase the level of environmental literacy among different segments of the population, foster sustainable environmental values and responsible behavior among citizens, engage young people, public organizations and enterprises in actively implementing environmental initiatives, and strengthen environmental awareness activities.

It was noted that the draft Programme also takes into account the development of environmental culture, which is regarded as one of the priority areas of environmental protection.

President Emomali Rahmon instructed that the State Programme for the Development of Environmental Awareness and Culture among the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2026–2030, as well as the Action Plan for its implementation, be approved, and that the relevant authorities submit annual reports on the results of their work to the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan by March 1.

The meeting then considered draft decrees of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, including the Action Plan for the Programme for the Development of Cinematography of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2023–2027 for the year 2027, as well as the forecast indicators of the main macroeconomic indicators of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2028 and their key parameters for 2029–2030.

Following the discussion of these issues, President Emomali Rahmon gave instructions and recommendations to the relevant ministries and agencies, as well as the executive bodies of state authority of the regions, cities and districts, concerning the implementation of the programme targets.

At the conclusion of the meeting, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, drew the attention of members of the Government and heads of other institutions to the mandatory and timely implementation of instructions issued at previous Government meetings, as well as those related to the issues discussed at the current meeting.

Regarding pressing and current issues, President Emomali Rahmon assigned specific tasks to the responsible officials, including ensuring comprehensive preparations for the 2026–2027 winter season, building up reserves of fuel and food supplies, harvesting the remaining cotton, fruits and vegetables, carrying out autumn grain sowing, and continuing and expanding improvement and development works.
