On September 27, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, inaugurated three new industrial enterprises in the Khorugh industrial zone. The newly launched facilities, equipped with modern technologies, are focused on fruit and vegetable processing, furniture manufacturing, and the production of construction materials.

At Qoim Limited Liability Company, processed fruits and vegetables are used to produce juices, jams, and tomato paste. The agricultural processing enterprise was established by entrepreneur Murod Qoimdodzoda and has created jobs for 12 local residents. The company’s products are marketed under the brand name Samari Kuhsor.

The management of Samari Kuhsor plans to conclude bilateral agreements with farms producing fruits and vegetables and contribute to the supply of raw materials for processing. Going forward, agricultural products will be purchased from cities and districts across the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Province for processing. This will help prevent the loss of farmers’ produce, increase their economic returns, and create opportunities for the production of high-quality natural products.

At the fruit and vegetable processing enterprise, Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, called the attention of officials of relevant institutions, workers, and specialists to making greater use of the natural resources and agricultural potential of the mountainous region, concluding contracts with farmers, studying consumer demand, increasing competitive industrial production, and meeting market needs.

In the future, Qoim Limited Liability Company plans to use the additional capabilities of the newly introduced technology to process sea buckthorn and produce its oil and juice. The company also plans to launch vegetable canning with the involvement of young specialists.

In the Khorugh industrial zone, President Emomali Rahmon also familiarized himself with the activities of Pamir Ecomebel Limited Liability Company.

Six modern machines have been installed at the furniture manufacturing enterprise, with operations managed through digital technology. Cabinets, tables, and chairs are manufactured in various designs and sizes according to customer requirements for kitchens, offices, and bedrooms.

The furniture enterprise currently employs 10 local residents, and the number of employees is expected to increase as demand for its products grows.

The entrepreneur Shogunbeki Akimbek, drawing on the region’s rich tradition of woodworking, the favorable environment for entrepreneurship and investment, and the support of the Government, has established modern furniture production using up-to-date technologies and practices.

In the Khorugh industrial zone, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, also inaugurated a construction materials enterprise.

Taking into account market demand, the enterprise manufactures plastic doors and windows, construction profiles, and lightweight bricks. Production is carried out using four modern machines. Depending on future market demand, the installation of two additional machines and the launch of production of nails and construction gloves are planned.

The construction materials enterprise was established by entrepreneur Vohid Iskandar as part of the implementation of the country’s strategic development objectives.

As part of the implementation of the program of activities dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, over the past five years, 46 new industrial workshops and enterprises have been established in Khorugh, creating 300 new jobs. The total number of enterprises in the city has reached 72.

President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, described the inauguration of a total of seven new industrial enterprises in Khorugh as evidence of the development of entrepreneurial activity and the implementation of the strategic objectives of the Government. He instructed officials of relevant institutions and entrepreneurs to make greater use of the incentives provided by the Government, attract foreign investment, introduce modern technologies, establish and restore industrial enterprises, and increase the production of import-substituting goods.
