DUSHANBE, 12.01.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. “Tajik State Medical University (TSMU) in addition to the plan will accept 400 entrants in 2017. This is the order of the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon for the fulfillment of which our university takes all necessary measures”, — said on January 11, TSMU Rector Mahmadshoh Gulzoda at the press conference.

According to him, the construction of a new academic building in Kara-bolo will be completed by the beginning of the new academic year. At the initiative of the University’s administration for the smooth carrying out of the educational process and providing students with seats, the departments of children’s diseases, forensic medicine, radiation therapy, family medicine, oriental medicine, physical therapy, surgical diseases, traumatology and orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology are partially placed in the new wellness center “Istiqlol”.

To date, 8936 students are studying at the university, of the total number of which — 789 foreign students and 977 students who study by the quota of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
