Delegation of Tajikistan attended the high-level dialogue in Ashgabat
DUSHANBE, 15.06.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. The delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan led by the Minister of Internal Affairs Ramazon Rahimzoda attended the “High-Level United Nations-Central Asian Dialogue on Implementing the United Nations Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy in Central Asia” in Ashgabat.
According to the official website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country, the issues of modern threats and challenges to security, the need to strengthen the collective fight against international terrorism, as well as the search of the ways to expand cooperation between the countries of the region were considered.
In addition, the results of the Joint Action Plan, which was adopted in 2011 to implement the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy in Central Asia, were also discussed.
Following the results of the high-level dialogue, the Ashgabat Declaration was adopted, as well as the fight against terrorism and extremism was recognized as the most important problem in the world and the region.
