Sharif Said, Chairman of CCI: “Tajikistan is interested in boosting Tajik-Japanese relations”
DUSHANBE, 21.06.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. “Tajikistan is interested in boosting Tajik-Japanese relations”, — it was stated by the Chairman of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan (CCI) Sharif Said at the meeting with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Tajikistan Hajime Kitaoka.
According to the press centre of the CCI of the country, the parties were unanimous in the need to further develop and strengthen bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Japan, and recognized the strengthening of trade and economic relations between the business communities of the two countries as the critical task.
Tajikistan is interested in attracting Japanese investments in the Tajik economy, primarily in hydropower, banking and finance, trade, as well as in the development of rich natural resources, engineering, pharmaceutical industry, construction of roads, bridges, tunnels, telecommunications, agriculture, education and tourism.
“The Asia-Pacific direction is one of the most important directions for the export of Tajik companies. The main task of CCI is to promote international cooperation in establishing direct contacts with business of the Asia-Pacific countries, and first of all with Japan. There are good investment opportunities in Tajikistan: preferential investment legislation, free economic zones, other positive factors”, — said Sharif Said, presenting the CD “Business-guide of the Republic of Tajikistan – 2017”.
