DUSHANBE, 30.11.2017 /NIAT «Khovar»/. The Forum and Exhibition of tourism companies and handicrafts of ECO member states will be organized in Tajikistan in the near future. This issue was discussed at the meeting of the Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Numon Abdughafforzoda with the Chairman of the ECO Culture Institution Muhammad Mahdi Mazohiri in Dushanbe.

The Chairman of the Committee noted that in the context of the open doors policy Tajikistan became the full member of the World Tourism Organization and there are created real conditions for the integration of the tourism field in the global tourism market.

“The geography of the visit of the foreign tourists to the country expanded and from 59 countries it reached 109 countries. Also, the Committee for Tourism Development has developed the national tourism portal in three languages ​​- Tajik, Russian and English for the promotion of tourism opportunities and resources in the international arena.  It is considered as a source of data about tourism resources and travel regulations in the country”, — said Numon Abdughafforzoda.

The sides also discussed various aspects of tourism activity in the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as agreed to enhance tourism cooperation within the framework of the Economic Cooperation Organization.
