Tajik-Russian bilateral and multilateral cooperation in the field of tourism discussed in Moscow
DUSHANBE, 06.02.2018. /NIAT “Khovar”/. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Russian Federation Imomuddin Sattorov met on February 2 with the Head of the Federal Agency for Tourism (Rosturizm) Oleg Safonov.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, the parties discussed key issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation in the field of tourism, in particular, related to the provision of favorable conditions for increasing mutual tourist flow.
The Ambassador of Tajikistan stressed that the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Mr. Emomali Rahmon has declared this year as the Year of Tourism and Folk Crafts Development.
I. Sattorov noted that Russia is one of the priority partners of Tajikistan in the tourism sector and expressed the interest of our country in increasing the flow of tourists from Russia to Tajikistan, sharing experience in attracting investments in this sector of Tajikistan, as well as establishing cooperation between tour operators of the two countries.
In turn, the Head of Rosturism stressed the sincere interest of the Russian side in establishing closer ties with the competent authority of the Republic of Tajikistan in the field of tourism.
There also took place an exchange of views on strengthening the bilateral legal base in the tourist field.
