Tajik Center of Culture opens in Mecca
DUSHANBE, 06.03.2018. /NIAT “Khovar”/. Tajik Center of Culture, Qal’ai Tojik (Traditional Tajik Food) has opened in the Holy City of Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
A statement by the Embassy of Tajikistan in Saudi indicated that the Center has been built in the style of a Tajik traditional architecture and some 60 Tajik nationals now work here. The center offers a range of food like Tajik national dishes and sweets to residents of Mecca and pilgrims around the Muslims world.
Zarobiddin Qosimi, Ambassador of Tajikistan to Saudi Arabia attended at the opening ceremony of Qal’ai Tojik.
Tajik Center of Culture “Qal’ai Tojik” is reportedly a joint project of Tajik entrepreneur Abdurazzoq Saidov and Saudi businessman Riyaz Aby Habash. The centre will introduce the strong friendship, peace and security of our countries.
Abdurazzoq Saidov, a well-known businessman from the Hisor district. Construction of the Tajik Center of Culture started in Mecca two years ago.
The opening of the Tajik Center of Culture “Qal’ai Tojik” in the holy Mecca took place against in the background of a noticeable warming in relations between Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia in recent year.
