Tajikistan and China noted the importance of SCO’s Heads of State Council summit and SCO’s Heads of Government meeting
DUSHANBE, 30.05.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Nizomiddin Zohidi, as part of his participation in the meeting of the SCO-Afghanistan Contact Group, met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Zhang Hanghui in Beijing, MFA Infromation Depart of Tajikistan reports.
According to the source, the parties discussed the state and prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation in the political, trade-economic, energy, transport, communication, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
They also had an exchange of views on the issues of joint struggle against the challenges and threats to regional security, including the situation in Afghanistan.
Nizomiddin Zohidi and Zhang Hanghui noted they will attach great importance to the participation of the leaders of the two countries in the upcoming summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization to be held in Qingdao in June 2018, as well as the holding of the meeting of Heads of Government (Prime Ministers) of the Member States of SCO in October 2018 in Dushanbe.
