The State Committee for National Security of the Republic of Tajikistan and the State Security Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed a Cooperation Agreement
DUSHANBE, 12.06.2018 /NIAT «Khovar»/. The Agreement on Cooperation between the State Committee for National Security of the Republic of Tajikistan and the State Security Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan was signed today, June 12, at the residence of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in Dushanbe city.
The Agreement was signed by the Chairman of the State Committee for National Security of the Republic of Tajikistan Saymumin Yatimov and by the Chairman of the State Security Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ikhtiyor Abdullayev.
It should be noted that relations between the two friendly and fraternal countries are at a qualitatively new level. Particularly, it is necessary to note the fruitful cooperation between the Tajik and Uzbek Special Services in the fight against modern threats.
The Republic of Uzbekistan fully supports the position and policy of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan at the international and regional arena in the fight against international terrorism, including the terrorist and extremist organizations, having a religious character and other armed groups, operating in the territory of Afghanistan.
During the meeting, it was stressed that Tajikistan and Uzbekistan have a stable, strong and common position in the fight against terrorist and extremist organizations.
We will recall that cooperation between the two countries is widely established within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and other international and regional organizations.
