Chairman of Tajikistan Committee for Emergency Situations receives President of the Pakistan Center for Global and Strategic Studies
DUSHANBE, 29.08.2018 /NIAT «Khovar»/. Rustam Nazarzoda, Chairman of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense /CESCD/ under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on August 28 received Syed Khalid Amir Jaffery, President of the Center for Global and Strategic Studies /CGSS/ of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan here in Dushanbe, the CESCD press service reports.
At first, the Сhairman of Tajikistan CESCD informed in detail the guest about the Committee, its structures, as well as about international cooperation with foreign countries in the field of prevention and liquidation of consequences of natural disasters.
The meeting discussed issues of cooperation on prevention and liquidation of emergency situations, protection of the population and territories from catastrophes and disasters, as well as joint activities of states in this field.
R. Nazarzoda noted that the development of relations between the countries in this field is particularly important, and the CESCD of Tajikistan pays close attention to this issue.
Syed Khalid Amir Jaffery, in turn, assured that he will further continue joint efforts to deepen cooperation between the relevant structures of the two countries.
The two parties also had an exchange of views on issues of mutual interest.
We will recall that Syed Khalid Amir Jaffery, President of the Center for Global and Strategic Studies /CGSS/ of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on August 27 met with Saidali Siddiq, Director of the National Information Agency of Tajikistan “Khovar” and Khudoberdi Kholiqnazar, Director of the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as on August 28 with Nematullo Hikmatullozoda, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, Nuriddin Said, Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan and Farhod Rahimi, President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan.
