Dushanbe to discuss the transformation of tourism in the digital space
DUSHANBE, 20.09.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The round table “Tourism and its transformation in the digital space”, dedicated to the World Tourism Day and the Year of Tourism and Folk Crafts Development, announced at the initiative of President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, will be held on September 27 in Dushanbe. NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the administration of the Russian-Tajik (Slavonic) University.
According to the source, the event is held at the initiative of the Resource Center for Tourism at the Faculty of Management and Information Technologies of the Russian-Tajik (Slavonic) University.
The round table will discuss such issues as: modern trends of digital transformation in the tourism industry; information technologies in the sphere of tourism and their development at the present stage; general approaches to the formation of digital space in the Republic of Tajikistan and innovative Internet technologies in the field of tourism.
We will recall that the World Tourism Day is held every year on September 27. Its purpose is to draw the attention of the international community to the importance of tourism and its social, cultural and economic significance.
The event aims to contribute to overcoming the global challenges identified in the Sustainable Development Goals and to highlight the contribution that tourism can make to achieve these goals.
The timing of the World Tourism Day celebrations is very fortunate, because it comes at the end of the season in the Northern Hemisphere and the beginning of the season in the Southern Hemisphere, when millions of people around the world are planning tourist trips.
