Consultative Committee Meeting of Heads of Legal Services of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the CIS countries will be held in Dushanbe
DUSHANBE, 21.11.2018. /NIAT “Khovar”/. On November 22-23, a meeting of the Consultative Committee of the Heads of Legal Services of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States /CIS/ will be held in Dushanbe.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, representatives of foreign ministries plan to discuss general issues of legal cooperation, and to consider the course of preparation of the next edition of the guidelines for the development of draft international treaties.
The meeting will focus on the feasibility of developing recommendations justifying the submission of draft documents for consideration by the Heads of State Council, the Heads of Government Council, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs Council and the CIS Economic Council, as well as the strengthening of the capacity of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly in order to harmonize national legislation of the Commonwealth countries.
The meetings of Consultative Committee of the Heads of Legal Services of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the CIS member states are held in the format of inter-MFA consultations on a regular basis in accordance with the Plan of multi-level inter-MFA consultations. The main goals are a wide exchange of information and views on topical foreign policy issues, regional and global politics.
