BOMCA program is planned to extend until the end of 2019
DUSHANBE, 29.11.2018. /NIAT “Khovar”/. The 6th regional meeting of the coordinating group of the BOMCA program, funded by the European Union, was held on November 28, in Dushanbe.
During the meeting, the results of 2018 were summed up and plans for the future were outlined.
The event was attended by beneficiaries of the program in the face of border and customs agencies, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and the EU Delegation in Tajikistan. The parties jointly assessed the program achievements, successes, and obstacles to implementation, as well as the plans to extend the program until the end of 2019, including regional and national priorities for the coming years in the field of border management.
It should be noted that since 2003 the BOMCA program has been one of the most important initiatives of cooperation between the European Union and the Central Asian countries in the field of border management and cross-border cooperation.
