Tajikistan and China to Strengthen Cooperation in the Fight Against Terrorism and Extremism
DUSHANBE, 16.04.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The Minister of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan Ramazon Rahimzoda met today with the State Commissioner for Counter-Terrorism and Security Matters of China Cheng Guoping.
The parties discussed strengthening cooperation in the fight against terrorism, extremism and drug trafficking, exchanging of information and experience, training highly qualified personnel and the provision of material and technical assistance, reported the Tajik Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“The mutually beneficial cooperation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Public Security of China is being strengthened and expanded year by year on the basis of bilateral and multilateral agreements,” noted Rahimzoda.
“Tajikistan is at the forefront of the fight against new challenges and threats, and China is ready for cooperation in this field,” mentioned Guoping.
