UNWTO: Tourist Flow Growth to Tajikistan Increased by 190 Percent in 2018
DUSHANBE, 31.05.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – Tajikistan ranked first in the tourist flow growth rating, according to data of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO, reports Khovar with reference to Sputnik.
Last year the largest increase in tourist flow growth was noticed in Tajikistan. Thus, the influx of tourists for the 2018 increased by 190 percent, according to the rating.
Ecuador (with an increase in tourist flow growth of 51 percent), Egypt (36.8 percent), Tuvalu (35.5 percent) and Uganda (31.9 percent) also were in top.
UNWTO also presented the top 20 most visited countries. France (93.2 million tourists), Spain (82.8 million), U.S. (82.2 million), China (62.9 million) and Italy (62.1 million) were in the top five of the rating.
Russia in the Top-20 ranked 16th. In 2018, 24.6 million tourists visited it.
