Tajikistan and Georgia Look to Develop Tourism
DUSHANBE, 01.08.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Development of Tajikistan held a meeting with the Ambassador of Georgia to Tajikistan Zurab Abdushelishvili. The exchange of experience in the field of tourism between Tajikistan and Georgia was the focus of the discussion.
Abdushelishvili spoke highly of recent Tajik reforms that have been carried out in the sphere of tourism and other developments aiming to improve the tourism sector.
The two officials also discussed environmental tourism, agrotourism, manufacturing environmentally friendly products, development of rural tourism, and the establishment of small hotels in the mountainous areas.
The parties agreed that the cooperation between the tourism agencies of Tajikistan and Georgia will be established in these areas.
