Tajik and Russian Interior Ministers Met In Moscow
DUSHANBE, 10.10.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – The Minister of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan Ramazon Rahimzoda met with the Russian Minister of Internal Affairs Vladimir Kolokoltsev yesterday in Moscow.
The meeting focused on the fight against terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking, the detention of wanted persons, as well as amnesty for Tajik labor migrants who have been barred from entering Russia.
The two ministers also discussed the issues relating to improving the attitude of police officers of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs to labor migrants and the detention of migrants by Russian policemen.
It was emphasized that the number of crimes committed by Tajik citizens in general and, in particular, relating to drug trafficking in Russia, has been decreasing annually.
